Lessons are peppered with songs, enjoyable vocabulary, illustrations, handwriting practice, stories, games, and engaging activities, providing students with a vocabulary-based introduction to the language. Children will love learning Latin!
Full program includes:
- Song School Latin Book 1 Student Edition This interactive workbook is filled with fun activities to set young students on a course to loving Latin! The 31 weekly lessons, including review chapters, will delight students as they learn 100+ everyday vocabulary words in Latin.
- Song School Latin Book 1 Teacher’s Edition This teacher’s edition includes the full content of the Song School Latin Book 1 student edition, as well as extra reproducible activity pages for each chapter, answer keys, additional teacher’s notes, and fun ideas for interactive classroom activities.
- Song School Latin Book 1 (Online Streaming) A total of 24 episodes feature a lively magistra (teacher) who narrates the vocabulary practice, simple grammar lessons, and derivative training. Simeon the Monkey features vocabulary words in his animated story. There is also an animated “Derivative River” that highlights the way in which Latin words have come into various languages.
- Audio: The customer will receive a sticker in the book with an access code that will give them access to the audio. The optional audio files in this bundle are for those who would benefit from a second set of files.
- Online Practice (optional)

- Flash Dash (Game): This fast-paced game will challenge students’ knowledge of vocabulary as they progress through the book, unit by unit.
- Jungle Jump (Game): Students can practice their Latin words as they help Simeon collect all the bananas. Watch out for danger!
- Jungle Journey Board Game: Students can print out and build their own board game to help them practice their vocabulary in a fun, new way. Students can collect more boards as they work through the book.
- Coloring Pages: Download coloring pages for every new vocabulary word in Song School Latin Book 1. Students will enjoy coloring the pages and then hanging them around the room as they practice each week.
- Lapbooks: Students can assemble their own lapbooks with coloring pages, cutouts, puzzles, and other hands-on activities to help them practice all that they’ve learned.
- Little Moments Videos: Follow along with Nick as he uses all of the Song School Latin Book 1 words learning around his home and with his family.
- More Videos: Watch more stories that feature Latin, including the classic tale “The Fox and the Grapes” and the not-so-classic version of “The 3 Little Pigs.” And what are Sheepford and Oxley up to?
